Pieter Billen is a tenure track assistant professor at the Deparment of Chemistry/Biochemistry, and researcher at the group iPRACS (Intelligence in Processes, Advanced Catalysts & Solvents). He obtained his PhD in 2015 at the Faculty of Engineering Science at the University of Leuven and joined Drexel University (PA) for a postdoctoral research stay of 18 months. He currently teaches at the University of Antwerp with an interest in waste management and recycling, green organic/inorganic and circular polymeric materials, and quantitative sustainability assessment.
